I was born in Guatemala City on 22nd of January 1973, graduated as an Architect in 1997 at the University Rafael Landivar, with a MSc in Construction Economics and Management at University College London in 1999, and a Postgraduate in Diplomacy, International Relations and Public Image at the University Galileo of Guatemala in 2015, in addition to several short courses related to diplomacy, security and foreign policy in Russia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Taiwan, France and Switzerland, among others. After working as Professional Consultant in the UNESCO Department of Architecture for Education in Paris, France (1999), I have joined the Guatemalan Foreign Service serving as a carrier diplomat in Geneva (2000-2006), Moscow (2006-2012), Guatemala (2012-2015), Bern (2015-2021), Madrid (2021-2022) and Seattle (2023-2024). I have recently published my first book in Spanish entitled “Raíces: Los Prera Sierra de Cobán” (2022). I am married with 2 children.
